  The Casa Grande experience was a quaint step back in time with its rich history and beautiful stonework. We would love

  Liked: We loved the relaxed atmosphere…away from the city noise. Our host, Maribella, was very attentive to our needs and very hospitable. Casa Grande was the perfect place to rest and recover from a long day on the Camino. We, also, liked that we could use the kitchen.

  Disliked: There were no stores close for picking up supplies.

  Would not recommend

  Liked: The building and surrounding grounds are nice.

  Disliked: The property is in the middle of nowhere, and does not have a bar or restaurant. After walking the Camino all day, we arrived, only to hear that the closest place to get food was 2.5km away. Upon arrival we waited on the premises for 30 mins with no staff member to be seen and the reception empty. The rooms did not offer a coffee machine as described. The building in general is very run down with half the power sockets in the rooms not working. Also I understand the pool was closed for the winter, however to close it off there was a ribbon all around the pool, completely ruining the nice views of the grounds.

  A rustic place to stay

  Liked: It is a rustic property in a remote location.

  Disliked: There were not enough facilities to cater for pilgrims. No sign posts for the route. Not enough food options. We were not told we had to book breakfast the night before. The carpets on the stairs and salon needed cleaning.

  Liked: It was quiet.

  Disliked: The breakfast was terrible and we had to pay. It was very run down and dirty. Inside and outside. The worst were the extremely dangerous metal stairs that went upstairs. A super dangerous for little kids.
