Good
Basic but clean
Liked: The staff were very accommodating when we arrived and allowed us to check in early and gave us a choice of 2 different rooms. Although this is a bit off the Camino trail there is a supermarket across the road where you can purchase food as there is no restaurant on site. There is a dining room at the pension with utensils, fridge and microwave if you decide to purchase from the supermarket and eat in. The staff helped us arrange laundry which was collected at 5.30 from reception and dropped at our door at 8pm, washed, dried and folded, which was nice. A sweet gesture was yoghurt and goodies in the fridge which was help yourself.
Disliked: Our room had a strange smell when we entered. I discovered it was a plug in air freshener, which I took out as gave the room a strong sickly sweet smell. There were also no windows in our room, only a skylight which made the room very warm. I had not noticed that there wasn't a window when we chose this room. Not sure if the other rooms have windows. Room was basic with well used furniture.

Friendly, clean and does the job
Liked: Codesal was very good overall. The room was a great size, spotlessly clean and not too far out of town. The owner/ manager couldn’t have been more helpful.

Liked: Very clean and staff so nice! Location is not in the main street but very valuable to avoiding noise. Good for ones that need to rest!

Liked: The accommodation is very basic - which we expected. Good for one night if your expectations are realistic
Liked: Location near the Camino. Kitchen with facilities. The girl on reception was lovely
Disliked: Room was cramped, it felt claustrophobic as the windows were high up the wall and frosted. It's an old building.
