  Liked: Our room was spacious and clean. The staff were pleasant. It was lovely to have a swim in the pool after a day of hiking in the beautiful mountains.

  Disliked: It would have been great to have a kettle in our room so we could make a cup of tea, rather than having to go to the restaurant.

  Best Place to Stay for High Alpujarras Villages

  Liked: This is the ONLY real hotel in the area of the three high Alpujarras villages. The scenery is spectacular but this hotel is a must if you’re staying overnight (King Juan Carlos & Queen Sofia once visited- we stayed in Sofia’s room!). Really nice pool with spectacular scenery; ample free parking and nice restaurant and bar. You’ll have to drive (5 - 10 minutes) to the neighboring villages.

  Lovely stay - needs subtle improvements

  Liked: The staff were lovely, very helpful. Clean and good for kids with the playroom. Lovely family atmosphere as always.

  Disliked: The breakfast was ok but the bread, cake and croissants were all a bit stale - they were obviously being used day after day.

  Liked: staff were friendly, the hotel was clean. The facilities were generally good and the location is excellent.

  Disliked: On two occasions we tried to eat in the restaurant but it was not fully open, one time on a Friday which seems pretty ridiculous and was disappointing if you advertise a restaurant then it should be open, sandwiches to take away does not = restaurant

  Fab location and lovely staff

  Liked: Great location in the village of Bubión with pool Breakfast was good continental and there was air con Kettle was available from Reception Great helpful staff Small balcony was lovely

  Disliked: The restaurant and bar were only open for take away Bedroom was quite small although there was a lounge upstairs
