An 18th century vibe in a bad way

    Liked: Breakfast is good!

Disliked: "Very different from the photos — they make it look far better. We only booked because our original hotel was cancelled and Booking recommended it, but it’s nothing like the pictures. Decor and furniture are extremely dated and worn; no charging points — had to unplug the lamp to charge. Breakfast was okay, but otherwise very disappointing."

    Fantastic location, beautiful garden

Liked: It is in a fantastic location, just a short walk from the city center. It has a beautiful garden, very cozy to have breakfast there or just to simply sit outside. The staff was also very kind and the whole place was really clean. For those who love horses, it is an extra experience that you could see them from the back of the garden. We went at a time when it was a bit cold to use the pool, but it must be a very good experience as well.

Disliked: We had one of our rooms on the lower floor and although it was very cozy, it was a bit dark if the terrace door wasn't open. And on the upper floor we had an other room without a balcony, which was even darker. However, I think this was simply part of the overall style and aesthetic of the place. Also, in the rooms that face the street, the car traffic can be a bit loud because of the cobblestone road.

Liked: The common area as well as the room were beautifully decorated and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent. It is located next to the Arab Baths archeological dite and at the foot of the stairs going up. We upgraded to the suite (room 10) for a small amount and it was well worth it.
