excellent location to visit El Escorial

Liked: great location and very friendly staff. Good value for money

Disliked: musty smell in the bathroom, calcium build-up on the taps and shower head. Also no hotel parking

Good hotel, but a bit old

Liked: The location is great- you are in the center and can reach the area with shops and restaurants by foot. The staff is very helpful. The breakfast is simple, but good and served in the very nice room

Disliked: The hotel is quite old and the main problem is sound isolation - it is just not exist, we could hear our neighbors as good as ourselves.

    Comfortable & well situated

Liked: Well situated near to the monastery and restaurants. The room was very spacious, clean and the huge bed was very comfortable. Lovely pool to swim in after a hot day.

Disliked: The hotel only serves a buffet breakfast and they could not adapt to my dietary preferences, (unable to tolerate milk or eggs), despite notifying them in advance. Had to shop for soya yogurt in local supermarket. The hotel has no bar or cafe and no tea & coffee making facilities in the room.

Alex was the reason we fell in love with this hotel. He gets it! Makes everyone feel welcome and comfortable. Amazing

Liked: Our stay was perfect in every way thanks to Alex at the front desk. He works so hard to make sure every guest is happy and taken care of. Always has a smile and is the most gracious and kind person we met during our trip. This property is lucky to have him and we cannot say enough good things about the outstanding customer service he gives every minute he is working. Thank you Alex. We wish you all the very best!!

Disliked: The construction was a bummer. But the updates look amazing. And I’m sure it’s all open now.

    Thank you

Liked: Please see prior review. We split out reservation in different bookings. Please know how valuable Alex is. The other employees at the front desk were kind of rife at times. Not Alex. Always there supporting you and working so hard! He deserves a promotion! Way above the others. We have our own business and wish we could find employees as loyal as Alex. You have a gem!

    Disliked: Nothing thanks to Alex

    Lovely stay

Liked: Perfect location, as it is close to the bus station, the city and the monastery. Our room was just great! Two large beds for a party of 3. The views of Madrid were great, and the hotel's surroundings were quiet. Breakfast room was bit crowded. But other than that, no complaints!
