Exceptional
Liked: Where to start? We arrived by bike, from a very smart and expensive hotel in Cadiz. This hotel was better in every way. Fantastic welcome from the delightful Miguel, bedroom, bathroom, sheets, towels- every detail was exceptional. It's the little things. Freshly squeezed orange juice, home made pastries and granola. Nothing forgotten. And, of course, the staff. Huge thanks to Miguel for his outstanding hospitality, and to Laura and the rest of the team. We chose the Junior suite, well worth the small supplement. Enormous bedroom and the best bathroom of any hotel we have stayed in.

Terrific
Liked: Hotels that style themselves 'boutique' do not always manage to combine style, comfort and function in equal measure. Not so here. No attention to detail at this hotel is spared, to help make one's stay as pleasant as it possibly can be, and everything works marvelously. The hotel and rooms are spotlessly clean, giving off an atmosphere of cool and calm. And the location of the hotel I found to be ideal, further from the beach than from the town but still within walking distance of both, and that suited me well. But what makes the place really special is the care and attention of all the staff, in whatever roles, but for my visit most notably Miguel and Laura. On my arrival Miguel gave me a little talk, in Spanish and in English, telling me all about the hotel and Sanlucar, things to do, places to visit, all with the help of a map, which turned out to be hugely helpful. The pride they have in their hotel and in Sanlucar, and in doing things well, was obvious. Staying here the feeling one gets is of being looked after, not simply paying for somewhere to stay. And the best thing is, I'm booked to return next year.

A real gem!
Liked: We found this hotel last year…the day the lights went out in Spain!…as we were checking into the apartments that they own over the road. It looked lovely so we booked a return visit to stay there. It is just beautiful! Everything is of very good quality & it’s immaculate throughout. An old building that has been completely remodelled in a very interesting way. Our room was simply fitted but with all we needed for our short stay, including a mini fridge with a jug of water. The pool was a real bonus as the weather was lovely & we were able to take advantage of the terrace. The staff were very friendly & welcoming. They have spaces in a nearby garage which we took advantage of. Will most definitely return!
