Liked: The breakfast was incredible and hyper-local, mostly grown on the property, and the grounds meticulously kept, mature, and gorgeous. The pool was perfect in the heat of the day and the rooms cooled down nicely as the evening progressed due to the thick stone walls, making the lack of a/c a non-issue for those acclimated to a warmer climate. The historical property was beyond our expectations and we enjoyed the Santa Susanna area by the sea, just a short drive away.

Liked: We are not big hotel people. We like quaint, quiet, more home style comfort. For us, it was all of that and more. I loved walking around the garden, taking in the smells and beauty. My husband laid by the pool. We ate our dinner in the garden, there were many lovely locations to sit in it was hard to decide. Our room had a deck which looked down to the sea.

Disliked: We enjoyed it all, nothing to not like.
