  Best apartment we've stayed in

  Liked: The apartment complex is designed to resemble a Catalan hamlet. There are beautiful views as you walk down towards the sea. There are clear rules on noise for the sake of your neighbours. It was very peaceful in January as it seems like only about 10 percent of the flats are permanently inhabited. There is a large parking area in a cul-de-sac and there's no road traffic noise. Instead, when the sea is rough, you can hear the wonderful noise of the crashing waves. The pool is beautifully set in a courtyard. The architectural design makes it the best apartment we've ever stayed in. There are 2 communal outdoor areas, one being really big, with tables, a huge sink and space overlooking the sea. This would be shady in the summer and would provide a space for children to play and socialise with other children. There are dramatic steps leading down rocks towards the sea which have been storm damaged. Sea views are beautiful There are 2 beaches very nearby. The nearest beach isn't as pretty as the next one. The marina has several bars and restaurants. The third beach, as you walk towards Sitges, is really beautiful and is the one we would use if it we had been there in summer. Montse is a very kind and welcoming host. She tries very hard to make everything perfect for you.

  Disliked: The memory foam mattress was too soft for me but my partner found it OK. I decided to sleep on the sofa bed in the living room which is much more supportive for my spine. For people who sleep in the living room there's noise from the main coastal train line including freight and international high speed trains, which run through the night. I wasn't awake for long however. Personally I found the noise quite soothing. You have to throw your refuse in a large bin outside another apartment complex which is about half a km away.

  Live like a local. Beautiful, clean & comfortable top floor apartment

  Liked: Due to unforeseen circumstances we arrived late at night so there were no taxis, and Montse and her husband were willing to pick us up! They were so kind and welcoming. We liked that the apartment is on the top floor and it has an ACTUALLY spectacular view from both the bedroom and dining room window. Fully equipped kitchen with salt, sugar, oil, a toaster etc. Short 5min walk down to a private rocky beach, 7min walk to D'Aiguadolc Beach. 10 min walk to closest supermarket (Carrefour), 18-25 min walk to the city center. Well-functioning heater to keep us warm (we stayed the first weekend of December so the nights were chilly). We loved our stay!

  Disliked: We didn't love the intermittent train noises. The floors were also a bit sticky so we kept our shoes on. The shower glass is clear so if someone wants to shower in privacy, you can't use the toilet. I'm not sure if we just came on a quiet weekend because there were no taxis available, and the bus only comes every 40 minutes, but other than that, no complaints at all!
