Old town and La Ribera

The heart of Sitges fits into a few streets between the church of Sant Bartomeu i Santa Tecla and the train station. Stay here and you can head to La Ribera beach in the morning, have lunch on the promenade and walk back at night from Calle Primer de Maig, known as 'Sin Street', where the bars are concentrated. Local trains to Barcelona leave from the same station, so you can leave the car at home.

It is the choice for short stays when you want everything close by: the Cau Ferrat, Maricel and the shops of Calle Major. The nightlife is noticeable in the most central streets.

Sant Sebastià and Aiguadolç

On the other side of the church headland, Sant Sebastià beach is small and sheltered, with a calmer promenade than La Ribera. The streets behind it are residential and still a short walk from the centre. Further east is the Aiguadolç marina, with its cove and direct access to the Garraf cliffs. Couples and those who would rather hear the sea than the bars' music like it here.

Terramar and El Vinyet

To the west, the promenade stretches past wide beaches to Terramar, a neighbourhood of houses with gardens and wide avenues that ends at the golf course. Next to it is the Vinyet area, with its chapel facing the sea. There is more room for families, the beaches are wider and the promenade is perfect for an early bike ride or run.

It is a fair walk along the shore to the centre, so some people prefer to cycle. In return, the nights are much quieter.
