Exceptional
Great apartament in truly Tarragonian location
Liked: Location, close to the port and amazing seafood restaurants there, walking distance to the beach/railway/bus station, and to the city Centre as well, well equipped, clean, quiet, amazing AC and - the most important: incredibly helpful and communicative Rafael. Gracias por todo!
Disliked: Only minor things: lack of kettle, funny bathroom/kitchen doors (once you’ll stay there, you’ll understand;) ), the only mirror in the bathroom
Fabulous stay in wonderful EL Serrallo, Tarragona
Liked: The apartment was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The owner, Raphel, greeted us on arrival and explained where everything was and how to use the cooker. The air conditioning and shower were fantastic. He also kept in touch to offer assistance throughout our stay and really couldn't have been more hospitable. We loved the area, at the edge of the city in the local fishing area, by the port. It was peaceful and gave you the feeling of being in the "real" Tarragona. There is a handy bus stop a few steps from the apartment to get to the city centre. There our several cafes and restaurants very close to the apartment and a large Eurospar supermarket about 500 metres away. The train station is also very close. The beach is a pleasant stroll along the promenade, and gives you a chance to admire some local boats as well as visiting super yatchs.
Disliked: There was nothing we didn't like.
Perfect stay with an exceptional host
Liked: The apartment was fantastic. It was located on the 3rd floor, with an elevator available, and everything was spotlessly clean. The welcome from the host, Rafael, was warm and friendly. He was absolutely amazing, very helpful, responsive, and always available whenever needed. What impressed me most was his support on the day of departure. The taxi I had booked never showed up, and I was worried about missing my flight. Rafael immediately stepped in, made time for me, and personally drove me to the airport. A true lifesaver and a real hero! I highly recommend this apartment and would gladly stay here again.
Tarragona is a compact city and very easy to walk to all the main attractions
Liked: Very close to activities around the marina area and restaurants plus the supermarket. Raphael was a great host and provided many hints on events and locations of interest. He doesn’t speak English but provides lots of advice using WhatsApp. On the first night there was music playing for the Festival of Fishermen very late but nothing that good earplugs didn’t overcome.
Disliked: The double bed is on the firm side however we would stay again.

Overlooking fishing port a short walk/cycle from beach, station and historic Tarragona
Liked: We really liked the location of this apartment in the El Serrallo maritime district of Tarragona, with restaurants and supermarkets close by. From fishing boats to megayachts, and everything in between, there was always something new to see walking/cycling along the palm-lined promenade and 5km dock wall to the lighthouse, in the vibrant old town with remains of the Roman amphitheatre and other buildings, and the splendid view from the 'Balcony of the Mediterranean'. Excellent communications with charming host, Rafael.
