Fabulous
Beautiful 70’s style with modern conveniences
Liked: Something was going on in Madrid that jacked up hotels all around the city so I took a chance in this suburb of Madrid and it paid off Its a short commuter rail ride from Chamartin (c2 or any Cercanais train towards Guadalajara), then a short walk from the station up to the hotel. Plenty of shops (including a well-stocked Carrefour) and restaurants on the way or nearby The hotel is quite “retro” but all original - 1970s vibe but with great showers and fast WiFi. The breakfast buffet was the best I saw on my economy tour of Spain. Staff was very friendly and helpful. In the morning I needed a taxi to the airport and they arranged it for me. Their choice was punctual, drove very nicely and cost about €23 door to door. I could also have taken a bus from a stop just around the corner.
Disliked: The only thing I’d say is the marble or tile hallways are noisy so anyone coming and going is quite loud, whether they mean to or not. But this reminded me of trips long ago and I just smiled. Its a beautiful place.
Liked: Spacious room, very clean, helpful staff. Witg train just half an hour from centar of Madrid. Highly recommended.
Disliked: There was no tea/coffee maker.
Liked: Everything was better than expected. Sleep quality - very good Shower - very good Location - very good. Fresh bread for breakfast - amazing.

Disliked: room faced the front and it was very noisey well into late night with cars and people shouting. Bed was quite uncomfortable, probably needed a new mattress
