Where to stay in Torrejón de Ardoz: the best areas

Centre and Plaza Mayor

Central Torrejón revolves around the Plaza Mayor. Very close are the Casa Grande, an old farming estate, and the parish church of San Juan Evangelista. Around them are pedestrian streets with bars, terraces and local shops, ideal for dinner without the car. Torrejón de Ardoz Cercanías station is nearby, with C-2 and C-7 trains to Alcalá de Henares and Madrid. It is the liveliest area for those staying several nights.

Soto del Henares

To the north-east is Soto del Henares, a recently built district with wide streets, green spaces and the Torrejón University Hospital. It has its own Cercanías station, making it easy to get to Alcalá or central Madrid. It is quiet and residential, suitable if you are coming for medical reasons or want rest without giving up the train. Being a new district, it has supermarkets and playgrounds, though fewer bars than the centre.

Around Parque Europa

Staying near Parque Europa makes sense if you are travelling with children. You can walk to see the replicas of European monuments, the lake and the play areas, and come back to rest in the afternoon. The surroundings are residential, with little night-time noise and local shops. In summer the park often runs outdoor activities, so sleeping nearby saves you depending on the car to get back.

A-2 corridor and business parks

Along the A-2, between industrial estates and the Parque Corredor shopping centre, are the places to stay designed for work trips and short stays. They have easy parking and direct access to Madrid, Guadalajara and Barajas airport. It is not an area for strolling, but it is convenient if you have meetings with companies in the Henares Corridor or an early flight.
