Lovely stay in Chamonix
Liked: The view!! It is beyond amazing. We were blessed with glorious autumn weather & the top of the Mont Blanc was not once in the clouds during our stay. Our room was comfortable & mountain cabin cosy, with a small balcony (with the aforementioned view). Good bathroom & nice care products. Amazing coffee machine. Breakfast was lovely with local products, fresh juices & eggs on demand. And then… dinner at the restaurant: it was absolutely spectacular. Perfectly balanced & inventive dishes (with a special mention for the duck). I had a non-alcoholic drink pairing that was so, so good. Very nice staff. We will be back!
Disliked: The only thing I would change: a liitle bit more variation in the breakfast. We stayed 3 nights and had the exact same (but very good) breakfast every day. Just small variations, like a different type of cake or cheese, would make it perfect. But that is a very minor complaint:-). If you don’t have a car, don’t want to pay taxi fares & hiking up a steep hill is not your thing, look elsewhere (but be prepared to miss out).
