Do Not Disturb sign was not respected and my room was entered despite the sign

Disliked: There was a Do Not Disturb sign I put on my door at the beginning of the stay and I didn't take off at all. It was fine the first two days (so the sign was definitely on the door). On the third day, despite not having removed the sign, for some reason it was removed and someone entered the room. Incidentally I lost my wallet that same day (though to be fair I'm not sure if it was in the room or if I lost it elsewhere), but regardless with a DND there should be no entrance in the room. I felt VERY unsafe after that. And realistically, mistakes do happen, but the worst part was the way the staff handled the situation. I had to leave and was told I would be given updates, but was ignored, and when I called back for news I started to get gaslit by them, and I got spoken over and yelled at over the phone to the point that I shouted back "Stop yelling at me" after a few minutes. There was just a complete lack of professionalism on the other end, and there clearly isn't any training on how to handle difficult situations. Unacceptable. I was waiting to get an update to leave a review, because had there been any initiative on their end to keep me updated then I would not have left a bad review. But there was a complete lack of consideration and attention given to a matter that is quite concerning, which is where this review is coming from.

    Good for one night

Liked: Location. Cleanliness. Vue (when the windows weren’t fogged up).

Disliked: Lack of ventilation. Lack of coffee machine. Safe not working. Average breakfast (scrambled eggs, bacon and fresh fruits were quite bad)

Liked: Great views for my room of thePart Dieu train station and in the distance Mont Blanc. Good breakfast buffet. Could find the hotel on the skyline walking back from old town because it stands out!

Disliked: Staff was not very friendly or helpful. Long waits at the reception desk for questions. Had to return to the desk to re-key my card to get into my room.
