  We enjoyed stying there

  Liked: The hotel is in an impressive old building with a stunning staircase and a nice little patio. It's within walking distance of all the sights and central places in town.

  Disliked: The bar was poor. The barman didn't know the difference between a white wine and a rosé wine. No wonder it was deserted all the time.

  I would rent here again

  Liked: The hotel is in an unassuming neighborhood so we were pleasantly surprised at this elegant little gem. The room was comfortable. The shower was spa quality. The breakfast was ample wth lots of choices and the staff were friendly and helpful. While there is no easy parking adjacent to the hotel there is a parking garage within 2 blocks so an easy solution for parking situation.

  Perfect hotel in a lovely city

  Liked: Welcoming charming hotel situated in the old town. The building is a characterful stone built old mansion with a fantastic stone staircase in the interior open air courtyard - where the excellent breakfast (worth getting!) is served. Our room wasn't huge but space wise definately adequate and comfortwise, perfect. Small bar & communal area downstairs. All the staff went out of their way to be really helpful and friendly. Nîmes is an fascinating city with an immediately evident laid back and great atmosphere, this hotel is the perfect place to experience it. Looking forward to returning to Nîmes partly because of how much we liked the hotel!

  The staff ( with the odd exception) have been trained by Basil Fawlty

  Liked: It was clean.

  Disliked: If you don’t mind walking dark streets where you are the only white person this is for you. The staff describe the location as intimidating. The room facilities are terrible.

  Great hotel building, with very pleasant and helpful staff

  Liked: The room was very comfortable, and the location is very close to the main attractions in Nimes. I got some decaf nespresso pods in the room which was appreciated. The leaving gift was also a nice touch.

  Disliked: I had to turn the air conditioner off as it was quite loud when trying to sleep.

  Excellent stay in a wonderful hotel

  Liked: Marquis de la Baume is a lovely hotel, very quirky. We were upgraded to a superior room which was very nice. All the staff were very friendly especially Grace and the young male chap too (apologies we didn't catch his name). The breakfast was very good with plenty to choose from. The location is very central to all the attractions. We really enjoyed our stay and I would definitely recommend.

Good to know

For any booking with a prepayment, the credit card used for the booking will be required at guest arrival at the hotel. Otherwise a new payment will be made at check-in with the credit card presented.

For nonrefundable rates, 100% of the total price of the reservation will be debited on the day of booking.
