  Lovely

  Liked: It’s a lovely hotel. Rooms are comfy. Breakfast was small but yummy.

  Disliked: I was charged for a broken toilet seat that cleaners only noticed after we left. However, the toilet seat had been broken before we arrived (yes we should have reported it but we had assumed it had already been reported and deemed safe so accepted it) and I’m concerned that the staff never properly cleaned our room before we arrived?

  Amzing place to stay

  Liked: one of the best places I have ever stayed in Italy so cozy, amazing breakfast.It is worth to climb up the stairs to see the view. Also wonderful interior in the house

  Nice building, good breakfast, bad vibes from some staff

  Liked: Lovely building located in the heart of Bergamo Alta, close to all facilities. Very good breakfast and Esma at breakfast was delightful, courteous and attentive.

  Disliked: This property is testament to the importance of a proper welcome when guests arrive, which was missing here. The automated check in felt like an extension of airport protocol and did nothing to make us feel welcome. To make it worse, the member of staff that came down to help with a glitch in the check in disappeared before we had sorted the issue. Then this morning the owner (or manager?) decided to reprimand the member of staff at breakfast within our earshot-completely unprofessional and rude towards the staff. We couldn’t wait to leave after that.

  Liked: Location is 12/10 – absolutely fantastic! You’re right in the heart of the Upper Town. Parking is a huge plus. Of course, the space is a bit tight, but that’s to be expected in such a location. We stayed here in mid-October and were worried it might be cold, but the heating worked perfectly, and the apartment was very cozy. If we ever come back to Bergamo, Palazzo Rivola will be our first choice!
