Great stay, good value for money

Liked: It was comfortable, air conditioned, decent size bedroom and big bathroom. It had everything we needed. Breakfast with the views of Cita Alta definitely made it up. Although the food was basic, it was nicely served, coffee was good, and it was enough to set you for the day. The property felt secure with a professional code/card system, no messing with the keys.

Disliked: The photos make you believe it’s a property with spa facilities, although it mentions at the same time it’s not operational between March and September. I think they should not be featured as they are misleading.

Liked: A small, cozy and heartful hotel with a beatiful view at the old city of Bergamo. The breakfast is classical for the Southern Europe: cold cuts, bread, coffee, yoghurt and bunch of sweet pastry

Liked: The room was spacious, cozy and comfortable, with two single beds, a balcony and air conditioning. I also had a private bathroom and toilet located just across the hallway. The day before my arrival, I received very detailed check-in instructions, including a video showing how to enter, where to find the keys and how to access the room. I arrived in the afternoon when there was no one at reception, but the instructions were so clear that the self check-in was very easy and everything went perfectly. Breakfast was also very good and tasty. The coffee was excellent — proper Italian coffee made from freshly ground beans. There were also yogurts, muesli, cheese, ham, croissants, cake and eggs. More than enough for a good breakfast before heading out to explore or continuing your journey.

Disliked: The location is probably the main downside if you are travelling without a car. You will either need to use taxis or spend some time figuring out the public transport. From the airport, it takes around 30–40 minutes by public transport, as you first need to take a bus to Bergamo bus/train station and then change to another bus to reach the property. Alternatively, you can take a taxi, which costs around €30. Getting to the Old Town can also take 30 minutes or longer and may require changing buses, which is not particularly convenient. However, once I understood how the buses worked, everything became much easier. There is a direct bus from near the property to Bergamo train and bus station, and the journey takes only about 8 minutes.
