Exceptional
Awesome views, great host, perfect location
Liked: Perched up high with great views, this place is wonderfully peaceful while still being super convenient. It’s quiet and relaxing, yet only a few minutes' walk to town and close to the bus stops for exploring the rest of the island. The host is fantastic and shares tips to help you get around. The overall feel is warm and welcoming, the breakfast wonderful, and dinner definitely recommended.
Genuine hospitality
Liked: At Agroturismo del Sole we experienced genuine Italian hospitality with excellent service, great breakfast and dinner. You can watch the sunset while having dinner at the restaurant. The antipasti were so generous, they were a full meal on their own. We tried beef, chicken, spagetti, and ravioli. All very delicious. The owners work very hard all day to ensure a great experience. We were picked up by car at the bus station and transported back with our luggage on the checkout. The location is an easy walk from the center of Anacapri, where you can take a bus to Capri, and other sites of interest.
Disliked: We unplugged the fridge for the night because it was too noisy. The bathroom was simple with shower curtain, although it was clean and functional.
Unpleasant owner and experience
Liked: Pick up from bus stop as there are lots of stairs and not accessible to walk otherwise with luggage.
Disliked: I have never left a negative review before, but unfortunately I feel I need to let others know about my experience. Luigi (the hotel owner) was initially very nice and welcoming when picking us up from the bus stop from Anacapri. However later that day upon asking for a bowl and fork to eat some food Luigi became aggressive and dismissive refusing to even let us finish our sentence in asking politely, as our room had a kitchen with no utensils at all, we did not think this was an unreasonable request and have never been denied such a simple request at any other accommodation. We also asked for a glass of water on our arrival back to the accommodation one afternoon as there is water in the public area on tap at the accommodation. He again got aggressive and gestured for us to shoo away and leave. Snatching the water from us. Absolutely ridiculous. I was in so much shock from the way he spoke to us - I thought he must of forgot that we were actually guests at his b&b and tried to speak to him again to let him know I am staying there and he again said no, shooed us away and told us to go and walked away while we were trying to talk to him. I am unbothered if people refuse a request. However when such a simple and polite request is made and it is denied in a rude and unfriendly manner it warrants a 1 star review. The kettle and the bathroom also had not been cleaned properly as there was a build up of mould all through the shower, sink, and bottom of the kettle. This usually wouldn’t bother me enough to say anything however due to the collection of negative experiences we had throughout our stay it feels necessary.
Best sunset views
Liked: We absolutely loved our stay here! Luigi was so kind and went above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed our stay. The location is peaceful, the food is fantastic, and the views, particularly at sunset, are the best on the island. The photos do not capture the beauty and the atmosphere of the place. We are travelling for 3 months and this was our favourite accommodation. We will be back!
Disliked: Nothing!
Liked: Luigi (the owner) is awesome! He made everything special for our stay. The highest point of the hotel is the sunset view. We strongly recommend that you stay for dinner and sunset at the hotel, it’s unforgettable
Lovely romantic location with walking access to one of the best restaurants on the island. Wow!
Liked: Wonderful views, relaxing environment, lovely hosts
Disliked: Geckos- my wife is afraid - not a hotel issue obviously.
