Exceptional
Loved it!
Liked: Breakfast was amazing! We loved our room with the large balcony and enjoyed sitting outside every evening. Our room was lovely and clean and we especially enjoyed the sister hotel with the pool. We went every day! The hostess was great even though she didn’t speak any English we managed to communicate.:) We were really glad we stayed in Anacapri!
Lovely place....and one or two possible disadvantages
Liked: The breakfasts were lovely. The best we had on this trip. The room with balcony was really excellent with quite superb views across the bay of Naples to the Sorrento peninsula. We spent several happy hours relaxing here. The bedroom was clean and spacious. They were very helpful with our luggage back to the Capri ferry at the end of our trip. This was generous and most appreciated. A beautiful, quiet, location...with lovely gardens.
Disliked: We had no welcome. Indeed there was no-one around, despite our having flagged up our arrival time well in advance. We just let ourselves in....hung around and phoned the owner. Even though we coped...just...with our substantial luggage, it needs re-emphasising that there is no road to this property. You need to walk... with luggage..a good quarter of a mile to locate this place. It's downhill to get there! Uphill on the way back. Not easy if you're unfit. Some folk may be un-nerved by the fact that the owners don't live on site. At this time of year, we were the only guests. A big property,... unlocked....on our own. What would have happened in an emergency? Luckily, there was not one in our case.
Liked: + A charming villa in Anacapri; very close to the historical centre of Anacapri and bus stops to Capri and Marina Grande. Although there are some steps to the property, the way isn't difficult, and I didn't experience any problems with luggage. + Very friendly owners and staff! + Nice room with a big comfortable bed and a huge private terrace (with my room only). Although internal sound insulation isn't ideal, it was very quiet at night. + Tasty breakfast from 8.30. + Value for money! Highly recommended!
Disliked: Wouldn't mind having a safety box in the room.
Liked: The whole room and service are amazing! We really enjoy stay here and there are wonderful sunsets and sunrises. Everything is perfect. In future( maybe next year), I would book again.
Comfortable and pleasing
Liked: Loved the location and the mature garden of the property. Our terrace was well appointed and had good exposure to the sun and a sea view. Breakfast was really good. A wonderful spread of sweet and savoury breakfast choices.
Disliked: It’s not a big deal but, noisy doors! Starting with the front door, impossible to open without making a noise. I suspect the noisy door actually serves as a doorbell. Continuing upstairs, the flimsy doors made hearing our neighbours going in and out of their rooms a bit disruptive.
A very special introduction to Anacapri
Liked: I had a wonderful roof terrace leading off my room.
Disliked: I was a little cold at night but there was a lovely blanket at the foot of the bed.
