The worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at

Liked: from the outside, looked very quaint

Disliked: No, air-conditioning no elevator, didn’t feel safe, staying here and did not try to fix anything to make us feel more comfortable. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

Location, and a wonderful house manager, make this property a treat

Liked: First off, the manager of this property is a wonderful man who did everything possible for us. He's the reason for our enjoyment of this property. The location - in a small, charming, historic village - is superb, making it easy to see everything while also offering a bit of privacy when required. The breakfast buffet was wonderful, as the manager made sure it would be. The tiny scale of the property (6 rooms?) made it feel like our own. Despite the historic nature of the structure, with modern accommodations difficult to retrofit, our room was mostly comfortable.

Disliked: The property is in need of an update, as it feels a bit dated by the standards of lodging in this price range. The beds, in particular, could be refreshed (though this is perhaps already in the offing). The portable air conditioning unit in our room did not work, though it was perhaps unnecessary as the windows could be opened to let in the breeze. Overall, these are relatively small inconveniences compared to the large benefits of this property's lovely location and the excellent manager.

    Great location. Facinating village

Liked: Wonderful little village that must be very busy in high season. Lots of restaurants all over the place, but in mid winter it was a bit hard to find somewhere to eat. Streets are VERY narrow. Parking in the village is limited but the owner was good enough to show me to the parking area below the village and run me back up the hill in his car. The next morning he took us and bags back to our car. Room was very quiet and warm. It was good of them to take our booking in the middle of winter.

Very Good for an overnight stay

Liked: I believe the room was smaller than advertised. Parking was super and the breakfast very good, lovely location.

    Not 5 star

    Liked: Location

Disliked: What little water trickled out of the shower head was stone cold no matter how long you let it run & you could hear the customers in the dining room below as if they were in the same room.
