Exceptional
A fun location right in the heart of things but not good if you need rest
Liked: We really liked it here, Arcangel met us and was lovely and helpful!
Disliked: If you have an early morning/flight i do not recommend staying here. We wanted an early night as had to get the bus to the airport at 5am however at 10pm the night before a VERY loud Elvis tribute band started downstairs it was impossible to sleep.
Clean and comfortable overnight in Catania
Liked: We enjoyed our stay at Art Fashion House in Catania. Centrally located near many bars, restaurants and shops. The room was very clean and comfortable and the proprietor was very friendly and responsive.
Disliked: Checkin window was kind of tight.

Fun place to stay, great location
Liked: My husband and I were in Sicily for 3 weeks in fall of 2025. We flew into Catania and stayed at the Art Fashion House as our first stop. We enjoyed our stay. It was definitely quirky, but in a way that was fun. The location is perfect. A block from Savia and Villa Bellini (green space) and a straight shot, walking, to the main square and markets. The owner was kind and helpful. She will not hold bags, but she does her best to have the room ready when you arrive. She also let us sleep late on our first morning, telling the housekeeper not to knock. We had large doors that opened to a small balcony. You do need to tell the owner, via Whats App, when you will be arriving. She had recommendations for restaurants and things to do. If you are open to a true Sicilian experience, this is a fun place to stay in a great location.
Hard Pass
Liked: Other than the 5 star location, everything was terrible. Got buzzed into to a pitch black entrance way, felt our way up 2 long flights of stairs to the check in area which reeked of cigarette smoke. Spent 1 night in the most ornately decorated bare bones room I have ever paid for with the loudest amplified music coming from a restaurant outside our window, and then had a 9:30 check out time and couldn’t leave our luggage while we walked around the city because there is no real front desk or staff. Also, fyi - the old fashioned room key opens not only your door, but other guest rooms as well. I booked it thinking it would be quirky and charming - it was just plain awful.
Highly recommended place to stay
Liked: Superbly located on one of Catania's most beautiful and important streets, this hotel offers a lovely stay in stylishly decorated rooms. Renovated to a great standard, but with all the modern conveniences, my atmospheric room featured exquisite murals and cornices. Very attractive, with one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in. Archangela, the hostess, is charming and happy to offer advice and make bookings for restraunts and day trips etc. Two minutes from the main market, there are many wonderful eateries close by. Highly recommended.
