Fabulous
Pleasant B&B in excellent location, with a wonderful host
Liked: Excellent location in center of Catania in beautiful baroque building. Big room, very clean and with comfortable bed. Clean bathroom, has all amenities needed. The AC was good; important, as it was extremely hot outside. Too hot for me to enjoy coffee on the balcony, unfortunately.:) The host, Massimiliano, was more than wonderful!!! I can't say enough good things about his professionalism and kindness. There is a breakfast nook with coffee, brioches, yoghurt etc. Good value for money, close to subway stop and bus line to the airport, but also to all the places to visit in the center.
Disliked: If you want to leave the windows open, it is noisy, as it's in an area with traffic. Not a problem for me, as I had the windows closed with the AC on and I'm also a heavy sleeper.
Liked: Massimiliano Is very helpful and charming. We saw the bedroom downstaira which was beautiful. The location was fantastico very close tò all the sites in the historical center..
Disliked: The upstairs bedroom was a bit dowdy. The bed light would only work with the main light swirched on.. The stairs tò the upstairs apt are very steep and narrow.so very difficult tò get your luggage up and down. The downstaira kitchen needs upgrading or fixing loose tap and hob not working.. So for the upstairs room was not good value..

Liked: Location is great, room was nice and clean.
Disliked: Reception area is messy and you walk though it every time. There's a camera that follows you around.

Disliked: Steps to our room were steep so if you have mobility issues best to mention to host so they can put you in a different room
Lovely host! Very modern & clean rooms for a great price
Liked: We had an amazing stay at B&B Perla! This was an emergency booking as we got stuck at Catania airport due to the volcano disruptions. Our host was so tentative in accomodating our late check in request at such short notice, he kept active communication right until we got inside the B&B to ensure we arrived safely. The rooms were very clean & modern. The lovely hosts mother prepared breakfast for us the next morning which we regretfully couldn’t enjoy to the fullest as we had to urgently leave to catch our next flight. I’d highly recommend this property and the lovely staff! Thank you!!
Great location, great host, close to the action but quiet enough to sleep. We had a fabulous time
Liked: Great location, we were able to grab the corner room which gave us a view on both streets. Spacious room, close enough to see sights of Catania.
Disliked: The host Max was friendly and gave us great advice, a real pleasure to deal with.
