  Avoid this place

  Liked: An apology to breakfast. "Breakfast included" turned to be a Croissant and lukewarm coffee to be picked up from a place 500 metres away, on showing a voucher.

  Disliked: The entrance was difficult to get in. When I got past the gate, I found out the the place was on third storey, not mentioned on the website. I had to lug my bags to third storey by steep, dark stairs where there was a real risk of fall. There is no elevator. There was no reception staff. The doorkeys took some time to arrive by efforts of a lone housekeeping staff. The room was tiny with space barely for a single bed. Bathroom was sans toiletries. There is no nearby store to buy these. I shudder to think of an emergency medical situation with no staff most of the times.

  Poor communication

  Liked: The location to the historic sites and some nice restaurants and bars was good. Some people state that the area is rough but the whole of Catania is fairly rundown, we didn't feel unsafe as others have suggested.

  Disliked: Having seen that there were some poor reviews on Google and comments about a lack of info on access instructions and a lack of a safe luggage store I tried to contact the owner several times to confirm these details, I received no response until I contacted booking.com. Even then the details weren't forthcoming. The luggage store is a damp, unlocked cupboard in the buildings central staircase so anyone with access to the building could access your stuff. I would not recommend based on these points.

  Liked: - Завтрак ок (круассан и кофе/холодный чай), кафе находится в 3–4 минутах от отеля. - До автобусной станции и супермаркетов около 10–15 минут пешком. - Сам номер в целом нормальный, если нужен вариант на одну-две ночи.

  Disliked: - Очень плохая коммуникация. За полтора месяца до поездки пыталась поменять двухместный номер на трехместный с доплатой. Отель не отвечал на сообщения в Booking, письма и звонки почти три недели. В итоге свободных номеров уже не осталось, и третьему гостю пришлось бронировать отдельный номер. - Никто заранее не прислал инструкцию по заселению. Мы долго не могли попасть в здание, а потом выяснилось, что нужно писать в WhatsApp, которого у меня не было, и мне пришлось еще и скачивать его, чтобы получить инструкции. Почему это нельзя было сделать через Booking, непонятно. - Туристический налог (€3,5 с человека за ночь) также обсуждался только через WhatsApp, что выглядело странно, пришлось отдельно платить за него наличкой. Во всех других странах налоги списывались через букинг, тут почему-то отдельно. - В номере №4 на второй день появились МУРАВЬИ по всему полу. В ванной были плесень, паутина и подертая обивка кровати. Еще непонятно откуда брались комары, при том что окна были закрыты. - Самый большой минус это РАЙОН! Мы были компанией из трех девочек и чувствовали себя максимально некомфортно. Буквально за углом находилась улица с секс-работницами. Вокруг все грязное, в мусоре, воняет мочей. Понимаю, что это не вина отеля, но расположение стоит учитывать.

  Liked: Location was fine

  Disliked: When I entered the shower I noticed that something dropped on my hand from a shower head. It was a big cockroach!! Another thing that was unpleasant is the absence of a soap.
