A Hidden Gem in the Heart of Catania!
Liked: Our stay at I Lumi was absolute perfection from start to finish! From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed with genuine Sicilian hospitality that made us feel right at home. The accommodation itself is beautifully decorated, blending charming traditional elements with modern comfort. Everything was spotlessly clean, thoughtful, and equipped with all the amenities you could possibly need for a relaxing stay. The location could not be better. It is ideally situated in the heart of Catania, within easy walking distance of the main sights, lively streets, wonderful local restaurants, and anything you may need. What truly made our stay unforgettable, however, was the host. They went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, offering incredible local recommendations for places to eat and drink. If you are planning a trip to Catania, look no further. I Lumi is a true gem, and I cannot wait to return on my next visit to Sicily! Highly recommended!
Liked: Very centrally located The rooms were nicely decorated
Disliked: I booked 5 rooms for 9 people. All looked lovely but when we got there, 4 were in one place and the other one was 5 minutes walk away, going through 2 garages and up some very steep spiral stairs, yet nothing on the website about them being in a different building. We didn’t stay there and got the room fee returned. The drains through out the house were a bit smelly, and noisy Breakfast was biscuits, sealed croissants, a box of milk with a few tea bags and 2 small boxes of orange and carrot juice We asked if we could leave our bags until
all was excellent

Disliked: I do not recommend this property. Although the booking was confirmed and I even received a confirmation message from the owner himself, I arrived at the property and had to wait there for half an hour to be told by the owner that there was a mistake and there was no room available for me. It was late in the evening, so this was very distressing. The owner's excuses were not convincing at all.

Very well located and nice host!
Liked: It’s located in the middle of the city center and yet it’s pretty quiet on the streets. Giuseppe was very nice and helpful and gave a lot of tips for the area and restaurants. The room itself was beautiful!
Disliked: Because of the wooden doors and stone floors, you could hear some sounds of other apartments. Also there’s a jazz place a few doors down that plays until late, so I would recommend some earbuds.
