Fabulous
Nice, comfy apartment close to the city center with a friendly host - good value for money
Liked: Nice apartment in a modern multi-storey building with reception, comfy room with air conditioning, and a private bathroom. Our host, Davide was very friendly and helpful, doing his best to help with everything and fulfill our requests - e.g. regarding breakfast and bed linen. The apartment is close to the city center and to the railway/bus station. It is within walking distance from most tourist attractions, and it has good public traffic connection (underground station and several bus lines). There are many good restaurants nearby that are open until late night, offering good food at reasonable prices. Overall, it is good value for money. We would definitely return.
Disliked: The area nearby - especially between the apartment block and the central station (Catania Centrale) - is a bit getto-ish. Approaching it after dark via the most direct route on foot was a bit scary, tbh, but if you stay on the main roads, it's fine. The apartment itself was clean, but the surrounding streets were very dirty, with lots of scattered rubbish, homeless people everywhere, etc. But this seems to be a characteristic of the whole Catania area. The shower was a bit worn-out and the lights in the room too dim, but apart from these, everything was fine with the apartment. It would be even better if there were more breakfast options and a dining room, but it's an apartment, not a hotel, after all, so it's ok.
Good place to stay in Catania
Liked: Central place, good wifi, small Italian breakfast, payment parking garage in the building, good a/c, lift in the building, online check-in & key-box.
Disliked: High step on entrance to bathroom. Street noise if windows open.
great location and Davide was a superb!!
A great option for a short stay of a few days
Liked: Great location — just a short walk to the airport bus stop, and right next to the main promenade with all the key sights. The room itself was in good condition, and the private bathroom outside the room was very clean. The host was incredibly friendly and even treated us to breakfast into the room.
Disliked: Despite being on the 4th floor, street noise carries surprisingly well into the room. We stayed on a Saturday night and it was quite loud outside — I'd recommend bringing earplugs.

Liked: The property is close to the city center & restaurants. The host, Davide is so sweet & very accommodating. He served breakfast with croissant, freshly squeezed orange juice & the best coffee. He is the best. Thank you, Davide.
