Liked: Amazing home... Warm and cozy...kind of nostalgic for your childhood Me and my family fall on love with the atmosphere. Daniele is like an old friend. Everything was such a dolce far niente vibe.

Felt right at home here. Daniele is a great host

Liked: It was so nice to meet Daniele to check us in and give us the guided tour of the place. We felt very much at home here with a well stocked fridge soo many towels and even a little sewing kit that came in handy. Loved sitting on the little balcony as see the life in the street going by. Made it really homely. He give us ideas of what to do and which trips to take and where to book them. We were in a very central location with restaurant and the centre of the city Cathedral and Fish market very nearby. We even found a Butcher who in the evenings had a grill outside and cooked the meat you bought to eat at little tables.

    Close to everything

Liked: About 8 minutes to the old town by foot. Bakeries, shops breakfast bars and restaurants in the radius of 100m or less. Calm neighbourhood for that kind of city. The house is big and comfy, well stocked. Air conditioning works. Special thanks to the owner - Daniele. Fantastic person, who made us feel cared for like part of his family. Thanks to this, the experience of staying in this beautiful city was even better.

Overall, we were comfortable there, despite minor hiccups

Liked: Breakfast not included. A baker’s shop was close by where we could purchase this. The location was fairly central and it did feel safe. However, the immediate vicinity seemed a bit rough and ready to us. Although we were late arriving, our host was at the property to meet us and helped us with our luggage. This was most welcome. Daniele was always prompt at replying to our texts when we needed information. We really appreciated this. He also sorted out taxis for us and was able to communicate with the driver in Italian where we could not. The house was very spacious with some antique furniture in the bedroom. There was quite a lot of storage space, extra bedding and towels. Daniele went to great lengths to obtain bathroom products which would reduce allergy reactions. He also washed the towels separately to help with this. The outside drying space was useful as we had to do a lot of washing while we were there. The washing machine and iron were most useful.

Disliked: Our host works and met us during his lunch-break.. Unfortunately, we were a little late so he could only give us a Whistlestop tour and explanation of where things were and restaurants to try. We found it hard to take everything in but did have the opportunity to explore to find out what we needed to know. We were relying upon paper maps which were not easy to read so it would have been useful to have had our location on the map. We did visit the tourist information Centre but they could offer us nothing better. It did take us a day or so to orientate ourselves. However, once done, we were able to move around more easily. The hanging rails in the bedroom wardrobe fell down on a couple of occasions which we tried to rectify. Some hanging space was obscured by stored items – towels, blankets, et cetera. One of us had difficulty reaching the crockery housed on the top shelf of the kitchen cupboards due to being short in stature.
