lovely stay, we had a car and easy to get around the area and nearby lidl
Liked: Great outdoor space and swimming pool host was good and responsive
Disliked: dirty stained cutlery and plates and mugs very clustered space but had character
Liked: Such a great place to get out of the city and relax. 10mins walk to the supermarket (crossing a busy road). 15 mins taxi ride from the centre as we didn’t want to hire a car. Had full access of the garden, pool and annex. Our host could not have been any friendlier Grazi assai, Massimo!
A perfect Sicilian retreat
Liked: From the minute we arrived we could not have been so well looked after. The family are delightful.Massimo, the son, spoke a little English and took me to buy food the 1st day.Mama made a delicious cake! The home is an absolute retreat,the gardens oozing old times,history, the pool,so cooling. The annex where we stayed,old,rustic,comfy.clean(yes a bit tired,but hey ho ) and perfect for a week if R n R. It has air con,washing machine,dishwasher washer,but I felt I was in a time warp. Absolutely recommend this beautiful home.It is on the edge of Catania, so an hourly bus(2e) takes you in to town.( we used taxis 25e). I would be happy just staying in the gardens all day,every day. I will be back, to do Absolutely nothing but relax and recover! Thank you family.

Liked: Villa Rubino in Catania Sicily which is available to rent, is unique. The gardens are beautiful with quirky little areas to explore, several seating areas to catch the sun and a crystal blue pool. The bbq area was great for relaxing lunches. Twinkly lighting just about everywhere is so atmospheric. Birds sing in the surrounding trees so peaceful and beautiful little pots explode with colour. The owner was charming and we had everything we needed for our stay. Highly recommended 👍🏼 #villarubino
