Fabulous
I knew it would be small, but didn’t know how small

Liked: There is filtered water in the community kitchen, which was nice.
Disliked: The place is called B&B, even though breakfast is not offered. The owner argues that he deducted EUR 10.00 from the final amount, however this is not reflected in the invoice in any kind. We were out for breakfast at a nice place. The bed was somewhat comfortable. Getting up the stairs is a challenge, more so with bulky luggage. The bathroom was unhygenic and outdated. We found hair in the sink, that was not ours, the shower tap was corroded (see pictures) and the glass in the bathroom filled with soap scum. Furthermore privacy could have been better, the place is filled with cameras, which the owner might have installed after a couple of recent incidents. The owner does not take advice well and felt personally offended by it, which is very pittiful. However we must point out, that communication was solely digital, we did not see him personally. All in all Ale e Franz was a one time experience for us.
Affordable stay in Cefalu with basic room and amenities
Liked: Location was great, easy check in, communication and price for the area was among the cheaper ones.
Disliked: Cleaning should be better, small room, we was given the room below the roof and it was too hot, we have to sleep with AC turned on and I do not like to sleep like that, but no choice, even it was June. Imagine how is mid of summer.
Great Home Base at Great Value
Liked: We had a great stay here. This room is a great value for the price. We stayed for one day and this is exactly what we needed. The Self Check-in process used facial recognition and was very easy. The bed was very comfortable and the air conditioning worked great. The location was also excellent - only a few minutes walk from the main square and and a little loner to the beach. The room is small but very efficiently laid out with a lot f places to put your bags and other stuff. The shower worked great and the whole room was very clean and comfortable. We needed a home base while we explored Cefalu and this was perfect for what we needed. We do not spend a lot of time in our room so we were not looking for something big. This room fit our needs. There were some nice touches such as a shared kitchen/ fridge, and reusable water bottles assigned for each room. If we return to Cefalu we would definitely stay again.
