Liked: The host was absolutely lovely. The apartment was clean, very nice, and well-maintained.
Disliked: Because it is located right in the center of Cefalù, it is very noisy at night. The stairs are quite steep and difficult to manage.
A gorgeous apartment in a jewel of a destination, complete with the perfect host
Liked: Our charming host met us at the property and couldn't do enough for us. The apartment is very clean and spacious, with a fantastic roof terrace. It's right in the middle of the action, so can be a little noisy at night, but we were supplied with ear plugs and had good sleeps. It's a couple of minutes on foot to the beautiful beaches - we just loved the small beach at the harbour, accessed through the stunning Porta Pescara. Cefalu is a beautiful town, full of interest and history and still retains its charm, despite its popularity. The apartment also has a beach umbrella and 3 folding chairs (plus frisbee, balls and buckets and spades), which we really appreciated for afternoons on the beach.
Disliked: Nothing - we found it to be perfect!

Liked: The apartment was spacious and comfortable with a nice shower, comfortable bed, overlooking a quaint main street with lots of restaurants, right in the historical district. Along with good reasonable places to eat, there are bars overlooking the ocean, gelato, and cute shops. It's nice to have earplugs for there is a little noise at night, which just adds to the ambience. It didn't bother us. It has a nice spacious shower, and having a washing machine was a bonus! The sea is less than a block away. Roberto went out of his way to make us comfortable, and even helped us with our bags, as we are in our 70's. The apt is up a flight of stairs, and narrow, but wasn't a problem with his help. Thank you Roberto.
Disliked: the first 6 steps had no railing, the top 10 did however which was nice.
Centrally located apartment in a lovely town. Great host. Would love to return!
Liked: Location of the apartment in the old part of Cefalu was fantastic! A bonus was it was reasonably close to the train station so the bag drag wasn’t too bad. Roberto is a great host and was available for any issues we had.
Disliked: Nothing major at all! However a nice addition would be getting some streaming services e.g. YouTube etc
Our stay at Il Mare di Dafni was truly wonderful
Liked: The host was incredibly welcoming and helpful, making us feel right at home. The location is perfect – right in the heart of Cefalù and just a few steps from the beach. It’s a lively area, but that only adds to the charm and lets you fully enjoy the local vibe.
We had an excellent time, and the apartment is great
Liked: The location is excellent. There was plenty of room and everything was clean. Roberto was friendly and helpful.
Disliked: This is not the fault of the owners, but there is a bar directly under the apartment which played very loud live music until midnight - maybe because it was Friday and Saturday. The bar was shut on Sunday, so that evening was very peaceful. Fortunately, earplugs were provided.
