Exceptional
Liked: The location was the best thing about the property. Very central to the main corso. Easy walk to the beach, shops and restaurants.
Disliked: We’ve travelled through Italy extensively as a family, nine months in 2023 with five of us and seven weeks this year with a group of 15, and Sikela House in Cefalù has been by far the worst stay we’ve had. The location is great, but getting there with more than two people and a couple of bags is close to impossible. We got no help with parking, which meant we ended up driving through the ZTL at peak hour. The accommodation itself is small and awkwardly laid out. The tap water isn’t drinkable, and there wasn’t a single bottle of water left in the fridge. There’s no washing machine either, and the laundromat they pointed us to a couple of minutes away turned out to be permanently closed. Communication was slow and poor throughout. Then the host tried to charge us an extra €70 because my mother stayed in place of a third child. Same house, same beds, nothing extra required. They asked for it in cash rather than through Booking.com, and they’re still chasing us for it. I’m not writing this to be defamatory, only to warn other travellers so this doesn’t happen to them. I’d strongly recommend avoiding this place.

In case of reservations for couples who prefer separate rooms instead of a double room and in case of reservations for 3 people who need to sleep in separate beds, the request must be made well in advance to the facility. Requests are subject to confirmation based on availability. For reservations with the aforementioned requests for separate beds, a supplement of 30 euros per stay applies.
Guests must take care of recycling their waste and take it to the municipal waste collection center.
