Great value family holiday in a lovely lakeside town

Liked: The location, choice at breakfast, plenty of sun loungers, free parking, the character and charm of the property and grounds.

Disliked: The air conditioning couldn’t cope in the heatwave conditions. This made sleeping quite uncomfortable.

We stayed for just one night, and the apartment was perfect for that purpose

Liked: We stayed for just one night, and the apartment was perfect for that purpose. The room was small and hadn't been renovated in a long time, but everything was very clean, and the bathroom was stocked with necessary toiletries. The Wi-Fi worked perfectly. There was a convenient parking area at the hotel. Breakfast was basic—not a huge selection—but everything was fresh and of good quality. The location is convenient, close to the main street, restaurants, and the lake. A live band performed at the hotel in the evening.

Great value for money in a fantastic location, with friendly staff

Liked: I really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Palme. For breakfast, I like eggs and cheese with a coffee, and the hotel met my needs very well. The overall value for money was excellent, considering the price I paid compared to what was on offer. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always helpful. The hotel's location was great, making it easy to get around, and the drinks were reasonably priced. Overall, I had a very positive experience and would happily stay here again.

Disliked: At times, the hotel felt very crowded, especially during busy periods when people seemed to be rushing around and occasionally pushing past others. The tables in the dining area were also positioned too close together, which made it feel a little cramped. The hotel is showing its age and would benefit from some redecoration and general maintenance. The pool area, in particular, could use some attention, as could parts of the hotel overall. However, the price reflects these shortcomings, and considering the excellent value for money, they were easy to accept. One of the hotel's best features is its mature trees and beautiful plants, which provide plenty of shade and create a lovely, relaxing atmosphere. These natural surroundings add a lot of charm to the property and help make up for some of the areas that need updating.

We enjoyed it very much and plan on coming here again

Liked: Food was great and more than enough

Disliked: A refrigerator in the room would be nice during the hot months to have cold drinks on hand.
