Fabulous
Excellent stay in a beautiful town
Liked: Relais Ducale’s staff were very helpful, attentive and friendly. The hotel was very clean and comfortable and the location was very central. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this property.
Liked: The hotel has alot of character. Inside there are multiple terraces with gardens and some with views. The staff are very friendly and helpful and our room comfortable with a nice view of the palace.
A great little stopover, but please think about muting the clock through the night
Liked: The location could not have been more central. All the sites, shops, restaurants and amenities were at close hand. The breakfast provision was excellent and we were able to sit outside in the square and eat it.
Disliked: It's superb centrality meant that the incessant chiming of the town hall clock ever quarter throughout the night did affect our sleep. It could reasonably be silenced between midnight and 6/7am.
A great base for exploring town and walking in hills
Liked: A great location on the main upper square. Compact room with comfortable bed and plenty of hot water. Peaceful courtyard garden. Excellent breakfast with hot and cold savouries, sweet cakes and pastries, fruit and yoghurts. Professional staff always very helpful.
Disliked: The hotel, like Gubbio itself, is a historic building on many different levels connected by stairs and lift
Enjoyed the experience staying in a centuries old building on the highest part of the city
Liked: This is an historical building and that is the reason to stay here
Disliked: Some steps are involved due to the historical nature and location of the while not a favorite for us we knew that and not necessarily a negative.
Perfect location, great breakfast, and fabulous rooftop garden terrace and ground floor garden
Liked: Could not be a more perfect location with a gorgeous garden on the ground floor and a magical rooftop garden terrace with unforgettable views and sunsets.
Disliked: I liked everything.
