Fabulous
Liked: Great view to Vesuvio and the sea. Beautiful terrace for breakfasts. Kind and friendly personal
Disliked: Short beds, not ideal for longer men. Some rooms directed to the loud street.
Great Location!
Liked: Beautiful old building, great location - 10 minutes walk from the ruins at Ercolano and restaurants/cafes. Room was clean and had great views across the bay. We were on the 3rd floor - I opted to use the lift as the stairs were tough after a day of walking! Breakfast was lovely and we took it on the terrace to enjoy morning views of the bay and volcano. Good choice of food for breakfast - fresh pastries, toast, meats, cheese, yogurt, fruit and cereals. Hot and cold drinks too. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Would definitely recommend.
Disliked: Be prepared for stairs up to the accommodation. There is a small lift which was a relief.
Nice old villa
Liked: The staff are super friendly. The location is great and quiet. The view from the terrace to the sea and mount Vesuvius are really nice.
Disliked: The room I got didn't look like what I booked online. Usually that's not the case so it was a bit disappointing. The actual room I selected and consciously paid a bit extra for wasn't available when I checked in and asked if I could change the room
Liked: We loved that you could see Vesuvius from the breakfast balcony as well as the Bay of Naples! The staff were lovely - the room was huge and had its own balcony and was kept beautifully clean. The architecture was absolutely beautiful 😍 from the classic lift to the amazing high ceilings and the stunning plasterwork. You can walk to the little beach there and we had a great time at the public swimming pool overlooking the Mediterranean. There were two fantastic restaurants very close to Battista as well. The breakfast was also lovely - one of the best places we have stayed - absolutely loved it!

Very nice!
Liked: Having been to Italy in the recent past we expected small so the size was fine. The breakfast was great! I’m excited to learn how to make frolla, my new favorite pastry! I love hard boiled eggs and there they were! Hot and perfectly cooked! Ready to peel and eat. Our view was of a very nice park, lots of kids burning off energy in the evenings before dark. The bed was great! Very clean!
Disliked: I would have loved a fan in the room. It started getting warm outside and I wanted air movement to cool down for sleeping.
A perfect place to stay
Liked: We loved our stay at Villa Battista. The room was clean and comfortable, the breakfast on the terrace was fantastic and as a LGBTQ+ family we were made to feel very welcome. The location was perfect for exploring Pompeii and Herculanium.
