Exceptional
Liked: Very nice hotel. Great rooms. Very helpful staff who answered all our questions straight away. Sufficient choice at the breakfast. Super nice garten next to the swimming pool. It is a quiet family run hotel.
Disliked: 1. Difficult to come with a bigger car. But hotel provides shuttle service to the next free parking. 2. Swimming pool was too full on one day due to booking by external guests (not from the hotel)
Our stay at Tenuta Villa Tara was nothing short of perfection
Liked: Our stay at Tenuta Villa Tara was nothing short of perfection. If you are looking for a peaceful, authentic, and utterly charming getaway in Ischia, look no further! From the moment we arrived, we felt completely enveloped by the warmth of a family-run atmosphere combined with all the comforts of a high-end boutique estate. The villa itself is a stunning, historic 16th-century residence overflowing with character. It is nestled away from the chaotic tourist crowds in the peaceful village of Succhivo, yet incredibly close to the gorgeous coastal village of Sant'Angelo. The grounds are absolutely breathtaking. We spent hours relaxing by the pool. Having our morning coffee and evening aperitifs on the panoramic terrace with views of the rolling hills and stunning surroundings was a true highlight of our trip. Our accommodation was impeccably clean, spacious, and elegantly decorated with beautiful handcrafted furniture that perfectly captured the Mediterranean spirit. Every detail has been thought of to ensure absolute comfort. What truly sets Villa Tara apart, however, is the hospitality and the thoughtful amenities. And the food! The culinary experience on-site is fantastic, highlighting authentic, traditional flavours of Ischia made with love. Thank you to the wonderful team at Tenuta Villa Tara for making our holiday so incredibly special. We left with our hearts full and cannot wait to return to this little slice of heaven! Highly, highly recommended.
Maybe unlucky but we had a poor experience
Liked: Beautiful pool area, big rooms, gorgeous building and grounds
Disliked: Maybe we got unlucky but this stay could have been much better. The thing that impacted us the most was on one of the days (Saturday) they had opened the pool to outside visitors and there were a LOT of people and loud screaming kids (at least 8 kids) that totally killed the vibe at the pool area. The day before we had it to ourselves and the next morning it was quiet as well. The restaurant is only available for bookings so you can’t order anything to eat except drinks which come with chips/nuts, and you feel like you’re being an inconvenience because they are trying to to do everything with too few people We also had a terrible experience with the scooter rental company which is on site and ended up being charged for damage that we didn’t cause. We booked two rooms that were the same price but one had a gorgeous view and the other was significantly smaller and the view wasn’t nearly as good, so they shouldn’t be the same price. The family was hosting an event when we were there so we generally felt in the way and unwelcome, they should have just blocked off bookings during that weekend. I think with a bit more experience and 1-2 more staff it could be a great place, especially if they had some fruit, salads, sandwiches available during the day. If anyone reads this far and finds it helpful, I chose this place for its proximity to Sant Angelo and I was super disappointed in the town also, it is super expensive and very touristy. Nothing to do with villa Tara, of course.
