Fabulous
Liked: The room was exceptional and in an amazing location, very close to the station and a lovely walk to the centre.
Disliked: Could not have been better!
Clean and perfect location
Liked: The room was clean and neat. They had cold water ready for us and a good instruction provided per message directly from the host for arrival and parking. Further information was also available inside the room, once checked in. Toiletries and extra toilet paper was also provided. Good pressure on the shower and the ac was a life saver in the 35+ Italian heat. Good wifi. Location was superb as it is dead center of everything so you could take a short walk to the central train station and to shopping street - here there were plenty of options for everything. Perfect for couples who are travelling light.
Disliked: The private parking garage was a hassle, as it is located 300 meters away from the building we resided - you have to enter multiple pass codes just to enter and leave the garage with luggages and children.The garage itself is a great feature to have in a packed city like la spezia and it made sense for all the pass codes, to keep unwanted people out and ensure parking to actual paying customers. We never met the host and perhaps it wasn't truly necessary but it would have been nice to see the host in person for a welcome feel, although they did send us a welcome message the day of arrival. It is not possible to change your check out date if its a day or two before the booked check out - meaning you will still have to pay for all the days booked, even if you need to check out a day or two earlier than expected. I guess this is to ensure they don't loose out on unwanted vacancies, which is very different compared to staying at an actual hotel, so I missed the flexibility aspect of that.
I had a wonderful stay. The property was clean, comfortable,well maintained, friendly staff and a convenient location. O
Not worth the money
Liked: Close to the main city extraction.
Disliked: The place itself is small (photos are misleading). Also balcony view is also misleading as it is not showing the street but other building roof. Also it is very noisy. We were living in the room 1 and every time someone enter we were waken up by the noice of the main doors opening sound. Not the most pleasant think in the middle of the night or early morning. Parking is also very pricey 25/day is a lot.
Liked: The location is very close to the train station and well located as a base for exploring the Cinque Terra. We found the property easily and were able to access the room with no issues (there is no reception). From the property, it's just one block to the main pedestrian street (Via del Prione) with restaurants, shops & bars. The mini-fridge was convenient and the bathroom was a good size. There are 3 flights of stairs to access the rooms but they are wide and easy to navigate. We enjoyed our stay and would visit again.
Disliked: Nothing major. There was a request to pay in cash but we would have had to wait around and meet with the housekeeper which didn't suit us, so eventually the card was charged.
Liked: The room, including the washroom was cleaned so well. Room is beautifully decorated. A great location near La Spezia station.
