Liked: the hotel has great location - few minutes walk from the ferry. Amazing pool and large garden. The stuff was super friendly and helpful. Good food on breakfasts - both savory and sweet. The hotel itself was spacious.
Disliked: The shower cabin in the bathroom was very tight/small.
A lovely place to stay on Lipari
Liked: I loved everything about Hotel Aktea, starting with the warm and welcoming staff at the front desk (special shout out to both Concettas and Alessandra), to the breakfast maitre de' Simone and waitress Manuela, and the entire staff. My room was clean and quiet, with a large comfortable bed, and a balcony with a lovely view of the sea. The breakfast buffet had a nice selection of pastries, fruit, yogurt, breads and cakes. The front desk were so helpful in arranging day excursions, car rental and restaurant recommendations. While I didn't partake of the swimming pool, it was very inviting and beautiful. A short 5 minute walk to the town makes this the perfect place to stay while visiting Lipari.
Disliked: The only comment I have is that they charged extra for scrambled eggs. That was unexpected and disappointing.
