Where to stay in Lipari: the best areas
Lipari town
Between Marina Corta and Marina Lunga there are hotels, guesthouses and apartments. The boats, the castle, the museum and the restaurants are on foot.
Canneto
A few minutes to the north, Canneto has apartments and small hotels facing the beach. It is quieter and has buses to the town.
Pianoconte and Quattropani
In the upper part of the island there are farmhouses and places to stay with views of the other Aeolians. They are very quiet, but a car or scooter is advisable.
Acquacalda
On the north coast, this hamlet has houses by the sea and few services. It is close to the old pumice quarries and far from the bustle of the harbour.
