Exceptional
Hidden gem with wonderful host
Liked: Location and very refined, well decorated flat. Francesco was extremely nice: came by car to bring us to the flat and provided amazing tips for restaurants. Very flexible in terms of allowing us to leave luggage after check out.
Apartment was quaint and full of historical charm
Liked: Property owner met us at the train station and brought us back. It was a lifesaver
Disliked: Going up 3 flights was difficult for my husband who is elderly.
Great location, really good size bedrooms and bathrooms
Liked: Host was very responsive and helpful. Location great, just be sure to check about the ZTL and get a pass, but it’s only to drop bags. It’s quite a long walk once you drop the car to the parking space. Very handy to walk around Lucca. Apartment was a great size, huge bedrooms and bathrooms were fantastic. So great to have 2 bathrooms.
Disliked: Very long walk to get to/ from the car. 3 flights of stairs with bags, which is fine, but just be prepared! Very dark kitchen, and quite cramped to try and move around the large table and doors opening into the kitchen from bedroom and living room and entry way.

Liked: Good location and roomy. Bathrooms nice. Host is very friendly and helpful.
Disliked: Quite dark, beds bit uncomfortable and lots of stairs
Wonderful
Liked: Francesco the host greeted us outside the city walls, guided us to good free parking and then loaded our luggage and us up into his car to drive us to the apartment in the old town. He even helped carry our bags up the stairs. Exceptional service. Beautiful apartment surrounded by historical views and Conrad supermarket downstairs and a fabulous restaurant Gigi just at the door. Great communication all the way during booking process. Will definitely return and spend more time in Lucca and at this apartment.
Disliked: A lot of steps but that is authentic Italy but very worth the view

Liked: Excellent location, beautiful rooms. Francesco was a great host, very knowledgeable about the area, helpful with recommendations and even picked us up from the railway station which was appreciated
