Exceptional
A lovely stay with a great location and exceptionally friendly staff
Liked: I had a lovely stay! The location is perfect, right next to the train station and just a short walk from the city centre. The hotel owners were exceptionally friendly, welcoming and helpful, and communication was excellent from the very beginning. I was given a map and some great tips upon arrival, which was a really nice touch. Breakfast was delicious, everything was clean, and check-in and check-out couldn’t have been easier.
Disliked: The only minor drawback is that the hotel is quite sound-sensitive, so light sleepers might want to bring earplugs. Apart from that, I really enjoyed my stay!
Lucca
Liked: Clean, comfortable, friendly. Right next to the station if you are traveling by railway ( 25 minutes to Pisa).. We had to leave early in the morning so I can't comment on the breakfast but if it is anything like the rest of the hotel it would have been good. We turned up 2 hours early and were able to have a room made available
Disliked: Nothing
Liked: Great location just outside the walls of old Lucca. Breakfast was very good. Room was vey comfortable and staff was great
A 2 star which felt like a 3.5 star
Liked: Very attentive staff. Took a personal interest.
Disliked: There is a metal staircase you must climb with about 20 steps up and then down in order to cross the railroad tracks. After a long day of walking, etc. I could have done without the steps - but it was a modest price to pay for the hotel. I also would have liked more selection for breakfast - eggs cooked and not just hardboiled. But it was ok.
Liked: The location was perfect, the hotel was excellent value for money and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. I would highly recommend this hotel when visiting Lucca.

Disliked: WiFi kept going off this was the only thing that let the hotel down
