Fabulous
Location and people were wonderful. If we are back in that artea we will stay there again
Liked: Breakfast was excellent, superb choice, very well laid out and very efficient.
Disliked: A retained taxi or shuttle service into Lucca would have been helpful, but the local taxis were generally good.
Liked: Staff very friendly, and outside pool area is great. Breakfast was very good. Location is about 30mins walk from Lucca old town but manageable - there are frequent buses within 10 mins walk though (1.70 euro a ticket) and taxis cost around 20 euros between hotel and old town.
Disliked: Room has only a small wardrobe (6 hangers) and no drawers for clothes, and no other surfaces. We were a couple staying for 4 days and ended up living out of our suitcase. We had to ask for more shower gel as this was not replaced by housekeeping on one day. We booked the suite with terrace (300 euros a night) and felt the room needed better facilities and more attention to detail for travellers at this price point.
Suite with Terrace - Very relaxing after walking all day around the lovely Lucca and Country Side
Liked: Suite with Terrace - Well worth a stay and perhaps in the warmer weather when the swimming pool is open. This is just outside of Lucca and ideally a car or electric bikes required to get into Lucca. We did have trouble finding, so may be worth putting the main street Via S. Donato in and working from there. You have a button on the gate to ring to let you in and then they give you a code to get in and out. Our room was not ready as we arrived really early, but they offered another room. We said we would wait and left our luggage and came back later and glad we did. A lovely room with Terrace. Very quiet, not much room to walk around the bed or put your suitcase, but does have a wardrobe and fridge and reasonable sized shower. Bed was comfortable. As we were site seeing and only really sleeping in the room and had the big terrace this was not a problem. We only stayed 1 night, so did not have breakfast due to an early start. Stairs up to our room, no lift, but the staff did take our bags up for us. Not an issue, just a comment. Would come back again in the warmer weather and stay longer to enjoy Lucca, which one minute was sun shine and then rain in April, so be prepared. Lucca is a great place to walk around and stop and people watch. Plenty room to park the car. Staff very friendly, room very clean and they left a bottle of wine for us. Easy to get into Lucca, but the electric bikes in Lucca were expensive, so hire from the bike shop just up the road from Castello dei Templari.
Disliked: Nothing we enjoyed our short stay. Not an accommodation issue - but take mosquito repellent as you are in the country.

Liked: Breakfast was good, staff very friendly and helpful. Pool area was lovely and nice touch. Location was only a short walk into Lucca.
Disliked: Sometimes getting drink or food ordered when around the pool required a little wait due to the number of staff on site.
Liked: Lovely staff. Nice pool. Best to taxi or cycle to Lucca, as the hotel ittle bit out the city, but well worth it, to stay in this nice hotel
A really lovely place to stay near Lucca for a relaxing time
Liked: The pool was excellent and the staff were really friendly and attentive. The room was lovely and spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was a standard hotel buffet but that's perfect for what we wanted, to be able to know what you are having to breakfast and go down to get it when you are ready.
Disliked: The only warning to others is the location. The hotel is great but you need to be prepared to get in and out of the actual town a lot. We used the RideMovi bikes which are great and cheap but not for everyone.
