  Warm welcome in a central

  Liked: You receive a very warm welcome at this property. It’s in a central location but we were not disturbed by noise from the street.

  Disliked: It’s a quirky property, so some decor is a bit tired. However it has a very homely feel.

  Excellent service, fabulous location and beautiful city

  Liked: We were met by Sara and recieved a very warm welcome, the room was lovely in the authentic Lucca style. It was cleaned everyday to a high standard and any questions were answered quickly. The location was perfect and easy to get around on foot, with plenty of bars, restaurants and cafes within a few minutes stroll. The trains are very clean and run on time and extremely easy to use which made a visit to Florence possible for us. The people of Lucca were equally warm and friendly, i would highly recommend the property and the area to visit.

  Disliked: Please bear in mind that the property is located within a very old building and does not have a lift so you must be able to use the staircase (although not too many steps to manage it can be a challange with a heavy suitcase) but don't let that put your off visiting this beautiful accommodation.

  Great location but slightly disappointed

  Liked: The hotel is very conveniently located near historic sites and good restaurants. The history of the building and original location is fascinating.

  Disliked: I'm not sure why a fee is payable for a check in after 7pm. Surely a key safe on the outside wall is a better option (and used in many other properties). Several gates/doors to negotiate to enter the property.

  A great place in Lucca

  Liked: We decided to extend our stay in Lucca by a couple of days. The location of this accommodation was perfect for our needs. Sarah was very good at communicating. Room was clean and as advertised.

  Disliked: In the future a better TV in the room would be appreciated. The shower was tight but little to be done in 300 year old building. I would suggest a desk in the common area would be helpful. The desk in the rooms were small.

  A lovely old establishment, comfortable, well located and reasonably priced

  Liked: Location excellent. Paid extra for parking and this was a very good decision. It was a long trek to the parking areas.

  Disliked: Breakfast not available. Apart from checking in (Rosie was very welcoming and efficient) we didn't come across any staff.

Good to know

The property has only one private parking space, available upon prior request and subject to confirmation by the property, at a cost of €20 per day. The parking is not included in the room rate.

Relais San Lorenzo is located in the heart of Lucca’s historic centre, within the city’s Renaissance walls. It offers an elegant and intimate stay in a refined setting, ideal for experiencing the charm and atmosphere of the old town.

Guests arriving by car may temporarily access the property to unload luggage. The vehicle plate number can be provided at check-in to allow access to the limited traffic zone (ZTL), in accordance with local regulations.

Check-in is by appointment only. Guests are kindly requested to inform the property in advance of their expected arrival time.

A surcharge of EUR 20 applies for late check-in. The latest possible check-in time is 22:00.

The property does not have a 24-hour reception. A member of staff will welcome guests at the agreed time and provide the keys.
