Exceptional
Wonderful place for enjoying Lucca
Liked: Jesus and Miriam were fantastic hosts, very friendly and helpful even offering to collect us from the train station when we arrived. The room was beautiful, large and quiet with a proper coffee machine and very welcome air conditioning. Bathroom was very large too which is a bonus. The hotel has a little terrace area which was lovely for sitting with a bottle of wine and slice of pizza on an evening when we were too tired to go out. The location is perfect - a few cafes, shops and restaurants if you don't want to venture into the old city but also just a 10 minute walk from Porta San Pietro into the historical centre. There is also a fridge in the room with plenty of water to purchase but also room to put your own things in.
Friendly Accommodation
Liked: Very friendly and helpful. Clean and comfortable. Fridge in room and good air-conditioning.
Disliked: The shortest route in to the town was via steps over the railway line. The main bathroom light goes out quite quickly unless you move near the sensor.
Liked: Beautiful little hotel, a few hundred metres from Lucca historic centre. We loved the fact that we we greeted at the door and allowed an early check in. Supplied with a map in hand, we were off to explore Lucca! Friendly service and great location are just a few reasons to book this hotel.
Disliked: There is nothing "not to like". Tangohotel is a gem.
Liked: We received a warm welcome and were given a choice between two rooms. The decision was difficult as all the rooms are beautifully decorated and have everything you could need. The hotel is very close to the city center and shopping. We received helpful tips on sights to see and good restaurants. I highly recommend this hotel. Liked: We had a wonderful stay at this guest house 💛 Jesus and Miriam are incredibly kind and welcoming people — they made us feel at home from the very first moment. The house itself is a beautiful Italian home, full of charm and warmth. Everything was perfectly clean, and you can really feel the care and attention in every detail. The location is also very convenient — great both for those traveling by car and for guests using the train. Thank you for such a lovely experience 💛

Liked: A delightful little hotel run by a lovely, friendly and interested couple. Tango Hotel is an easy and safe 10 minute walk from the railway station, and about the same to the Lucca city wall. The room and bathroom were generously proportioned and bright. A few minutes walk away is an excellent, recommended eating place where I enjoyed breakfast capuccino and a slice of torta for 2 euros! (March 2026) I believe this place does excellent evening meals too. I asked the couple who run the hotel for a scale to weigh my luggage and they were fabulous about organising that for me. I'll definitely go back on my return to Lucca.
