  Loved Mantova

  Liked: Excellent location

  Disliked: Maintenance needed. Light not functioning on terrace which prevented dining there. Only 2 out of 4 gas jets working. 1 out of 2 light above bathroom not functioning. Only half a roll of toilet paper provided and the dregs of washing up liquid. DisPpointingly impersonal communication with host Perfect position, lovely apartment

  A lovely place in an unbeatable city, but a little more care

  Liked: The location can hardly be better. All is reached on foot, it is central, yet above and far from noise. Also within the building neighbours are very silent. The apartment has space and adequate facilities. One could easily self cater but good food in all price categories is next door. There is an excellent coffee bar just besides the main entrance. The terrace of La Terrazza is also very nice, view on S. Andrea dome, roofs and houses, swifts and house martins. Essentially it had it all and Mantova is an extraordinary destination, quieter than some other art cities.

  Disliked: All of this can be solved. Easily. - the cleanliness was not optimal. It was not filthy nor even dirty but not fresh and clean. Probably not opened or really dusted for some time. - the terrace needed to be cleaned before use. There are lemon trees and it was requested to water them which we gladly did. They were so extremely. dry that also here no one came for some time, it seems. - the appartment lies in the Zona Traffico Limitato (good!). This requires planning arrival well. The info we received was inadequate. Please owners, improve this for your very nice place!

  Great location and cute place, but no sheets for the sofa bed

  Liked: Communication was a little difficult and we ended up having to do the whole online registration process while standing in the parking lot near the place. But it all worked out.

  Disliked: There were no sheets for the sofa bed in the living room and the property management did not respond to our inquiry about the sheets at the time, which was admittedly late at night (11:00 pm) or later to acknowledge the failure. This was a little problematic.
