  Very family friendly room with on-site restaurant

  Liked: This small hotel had a very nice kitchen with lots of space. Thank you again for calling a taxi for me after I got stuck far out of the city!!!

  Disliked: The room didn’t have a lot of light. Also, I don’t think the remote control for the TV worked.

  Good stay with parking hosted by very friendly and helpful owner

  Liked: Lovely host Matteo. He was very helpful and friendly. Spoke good English too. The food was Italian home cooking and tasty. We also met his mum Anna, the main chef and she was friendly too. The breakfast was very good. Parking on site.

  Disliked: The only drawback was the distance from city centre. There is a bus with easy walk to stop which takes you to centre. However they stop early evening so would need taxi to get back. We just had dinner at La Locanda after long days touristing.

  Liked: The service was great, as was the communication. My train was delayed, but I could still come in late and the host prepared me a delicious local dinner! Tortelli with pumkin and also a variant with cherries!! I enjoyed this possibility to discover some local dishes! The locanda is situated 5 walking minutes from the train station, which is great for when you arrive with public transport. The next day I walked to Mantova (1 hour walk) instead of taking public transport there, which for the scenery I might not specifically recommend. The host even sent me the recipes for the food after my stay, because I enjoyed it so much, I will definitely make it myself in memory of this place!

  Good location as a starting point to explore Mantua and surrounding

  Liked: We received a very friendly welcome and got good tips for the surrounding area and Mantua. The delicious breakfast can be highly recommended. The host is super nice and helpful.
