  A unique, but comfortable, historic home

  A disaster in every way

  Liked: A disaster in every way. Hotel was closed when we arrived. No answer on phone or email. We couldn’t get in and had to find an alternative at the last minute. One of the worst expletives we’ve had in 25 years of travelling. Avoid at all costs.

  Excellent overall and we felt we had been part of Mantua’s history

  Liked: The location, sense of history, space

  Disliked: It did get very hot as it is south facing and faces the sun all day. Although there is some air conditioning I felt reluctant to use it much as it is a huge room. Because of this it doesn’t really cool the tucked away bedroom area. I think a fan for nighttime might be a good option
