Fabulous
A great place to stay if you are exploring Montalcino region
Liked: The place is very well located, easily reached by car (no tricky roads), has very pleasant territory and even two ponies:) The room was really spacious, well furnished and overall very comfortable. The only thing was the limited amount of the hot water (I guess there’s a boiler), that might be not enough if two people shower and wash hair. The staff is very welcoming and helpful. There’s a restaurant where you can have a nice dinner. We had pizza- it was crunchy and really delicious.

Not for us
Liked: The property is in a peaceful, rural location, which will appeal to anyone looking for somewhere quiet and away from the crowds. The A/C worked well, and the female staff member we met was friendly.
Disliked: Unfortunately, however, this was by far the least enjoyable of the seven accommodations we stayed at during our road trip. We chose the property partly because Booking.com advertised a shared kitchen. On arrival, we were told that this was not available. If this information is no longer correct, we feel the listing should be updated. There was also no fridge in the room and no communal fridge for guests to use. In 34°C heat, particularly in such a rural location, we felt that having access to cold drinking water was a basic facility. The room was very spacious and would easily have accommodated a small fridge. There was also no cutlery or crockery available. We ate at the property on our first evening. Unfortunately, we found the food extremely salty, and my partner's carbonara was inedible after he found a bone in the dish. One of the main reasons we chose this accommodation was the pool and the advertised views over the Tuscan countryside. Sadly, the current reality does not match the website photographs. A hedge has clearly grown considerably since the photos were taken and now completely blocks the view of the Tuscan hillside. This is particularly disappointing because the other three sides of the pool have wire fencing and offer lovely, unobstructed views. It is also worth being aware that the property accommodates a number of camper vans and tents, whose guests also share the pool. Consequently, the pool area can become quite busy in the late afternoon, particularly when new arrivals come in. A further point regarding the pool area is that the sunbeds are positioned on grass. We were bitten repeatedly while sitting there, so insect repellent is definitely advisable. Breakfast costs €15 per person. There was a good selection of cakes, but we felt this was considerably overpriced compared with the other accommodations we stayed at during our trip. Communication was another significant disappointment. We sent two messages through Booking.

Liked: A place that reminds you how beautiful simplicity can be. Surrounded by the rolling hills of Tuscany, it is peaceful, quiet, and full of charm. The staff are genuinely warm and welcoming, and the food is outstanding—honest, delicious, and made with care. I arrived tired and left refreshed. One of those rare places you never quite want to leave. Highly recommended.
Lovely but disappointing the pool was closed
Liked: The set up was perfect, and lovely views, a very relaxed environment
Disliked: We booked the accommodation because of the pool so our teenage kids could hang out there, but when we arrived they were told it was closed due to chemicals being added. Surely this could be done in the morning, so that guests can use it in the afternoon/evening.
