Exceptional
Liked: We had an absolutely wonderful experience! Colle al Matrichese Historic Winery is a special place, full of charm, character and authentic Tuscan beauty. A special thank you goes to Emilio, our host, who was exceptionally kind, friendly and helpful. His warm welcome and willingness to assist with everything made our stay even more enjoyable. The location is perfect for relaxing, enjoying the beauty of the Tuscan countryside and discovering the magic of the Montalcino region.

Liked: Little cozy cottage, so much history and heritage. Absolute privilege to have stayed here.
Disliked: Nothing
Liked: Great location with on site parking, the wine tasting and tour were great as well. The shower had good water pressure and the kitchen was equipped with the essentials needed.
Disliked: The bed was upstairs in a loft that the A/C didn’t reach which made sleeping uncomfortable.
Wonderful. Worth a drive up the hill
Liked: Seriously excellent space. The views were gorgeous. The gardens were spacious. Wine tour also excellent. We bought a bottle of the famous Brunello Di Montalcino. They have many to try.
Disliked: Niente
Wonderful Stay in a Vineyard
Liked: A stay in an actual producing vineyard couldn’t be better. Great 2 bedroom apartment with comfy beds and a washer. Large shower. Small kitchen with a cute little Italian percolator. Coffee provided. Beautiful spaces. Wonderful vineyard tour and wine tasting. Very close to Montalcino. Easy drive.
Disliked: The neighbors barking dogs can be a bit bothersome, but they are so cute. Look, but don’t try to pet them.
Liked: The two bedroom apartment was well appointed. Emilio was very nice and always quick to respond. The lady who did our wine tasting was also nice and provided lots of interesting info on the wines and their history. Their wine is amazing and so is this property. Would definitely stay here again.
