Exceptional
Lovely property
Liked: It was a pleasure to wake up and see that view every morning. Great facilities and everything we wanted. Good instructions and easy to find if you follow the email link. Loved the restaurant at the bottom of the lane. Breakfast was fine and there was a great supermarket nearby.
Disliked: Maybe have 1-2 torches available if people walk into town in the evening? It’s an easy 10 min walk but can be very dark on road at night, when walking back.
Liked: The apartment was very comfortable
Disliked: Difficult to find near clear directions bed was a little uncomfortable
Stunning views in Montalcino
Liked: This property has amazing views. There is a terrace with tables and chairs where you can share a meal and enjoy the views. The shared space is fairly large and the kitchen is easy to work in. The location is very close to Montalcino although walking is difficult due to lack of a walking path on the highway.
Disliked: The property is located on a steep hill and you have to carry your suitcases up a long ramp between the parking and the apartment. The kitchen could have been better stocked and the beds could have been more comfortable.
Beautiful location close to town
Liked: Beautiful location, although the weather was colder than we expected, quite high up. Easy walk to town and a great base for exploring wine country. The fire was nice and rooms spacious.
Disliked: I thought it would be a good idea to have a second small sofa in the living room area.
Great views and fully equipped kitchen. Would stay again
Liked: We stayed in the deluxe apartment with 2 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and a fully equipped kitchen. Some croissants and tea and coffee and other mini toasts were left for us. Great service. This saved us from getting breakfast somewhere before we left. Wished we had stayed longer
Good for what we needed
Liked: The proximity to Montalcino was great, as was the availability of parking. The pergolas outside the bedrooms were nice in the evenings, and the apartment had three full bathrooms, two bedrooms, and a sleeper sofa. With an equipped kitchen, you could stay here, cook, and have a memorable time in the area (if you prefer to cook and not dine out).
Disliked: Regrettably, the overhead light in the master bedroom would never go completely dark. So we had this strange blue glow that disrupted my sleep for the four nights we were there. Also, breakfast was not a component of the stay. There were prepackaged plastic-wrapped croissants and muffins for breakfast as the option. It seems a missed opportunity since there is a restaurant on premises.
