Exceptional
Beautiful country Estate
Liked: Beautiful country estate. Very helpful staff. All the things you expect from Michelin star hotel
Disliked: Nothing
God has a villa in Montalcino, and it's called Villa Le Prata. (Respect the earth)
Liked: First the location is nothing short of a storybook address, the grounds, great for a wonder about, the pool area, ever so relaxing I would often go out in the morning with my JBL speaks and just crank some Opera poolside, and took it all in, the Villa itself is spectacular, in design, positioning, great WIFI, very quiet floor, and soundproof walls (as we hear nothing) Our room was on the top floor corner view of the pool and into the valley. The bed is ridiculously comfortable, if we could have fit the mattress in one of our bags we would have taken it, I swear. I'm unable to get up in time for work back home in NYC but was sure up every morning catching the fog settling in the valley and listening to Montalcino. The breakfast was just a visual and needless to say a feast in itself, the presentation, the breads, the fruits fresh from the gardens, the juices, the pastries, the smell, and variety. Let's not forget Francisca (the breakfast chef) we loved those eggs her warm smiles and morning hugs were more of a treat. The family themselves were on site some morning the beautiful wife, Edwardo (heir apparent) and dog Jango (woof). Giada (MY ANGEL) went beyond hospitality for us, we had some issues with our train tickets, in the blink of an eye it was sorted, she literally saved the rest of our trip throughout Italy and Glinda? (You met us with Giada when we exhaustedly arrived, we miss your morning smile. We very much appreciated all you've have done to truly make our stay a much needed one.
Disliked: Leaving the property
Perfect place to stay in Tuscany
Liked: Beautiful property in gorgeous Montalcino - everything was perfect - from the room, which was pristinely clean and nicely decorated to the gorgeous grounds, which included a fantastic pool. The daily, complimentary breakfast was great and the staff were all friendly, attentive and accommodating. Pricey but worth it!
Disliked: Nothing - it was perfect!
Relaxing and very comfortable
Liked: Very peaceful with super friendly and helpful staff
Fantastic stay
Liked: Perfect combination of the preservation of antiquity and the comfort and amenities of modern facilities!
A great stay in the heart of Tuscany!
Liked: In a region blessed with extraordinary beauty and an abundance of wonderful places to stay, Villa Le Prata truly stands out thanks to its exceptional hospitality. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed. Giada is a wonderful host, and her knowledge of wine is remarkable. I particularly loved the way she shares the history of the estate and its vineyards—every tasting becomes a story, making the experience even more memorable. Saadia and Francesca are absolute sweethearts. After I accidentally spilled coffee on my dress, they kindly hand-washed and ironed it for me without hesitation. It was such a thoughtful gesture that perfectly reflects the level of care you’ll find here. Despite our late arrival one evening, Nelson graciously prepared dinner for us and created a beautiful setting, making us feel completely at home. And of course, Tannino the cat deserves a special mention—he is a charming little protagonist of the house and adds even more character to the experience. The villa itself is stunning, our room was spacious, peaceful, and beautifully appointed, and the bathroom was equally lovely. Every detail contributes to an atmosphere that is elegant yet wonderfully relaxed, where you immediately feel at home. Overall, this was a fantastic stay, made truly special by the warmth, kindness, and genuine care of everyone at Villa Le Prata. We left with beautiful memories and can’t wait to return. Ciao e a presto!
Disliked: The only small disappointment was that the website still advertised the “Ape-Brace” Sunset Barbecue. Before arriving, I called specifically to reserve our places, only to be told that the event was no longer being held. It would be great if the website could be updated to avoid raising expectations, as it sounded like a wonderful way to experience a lovely Tuscan tradition.
