Exceptional
Liked: Good instructions to find it, nice and easy check-in. Pretty reception and room once up the stairs. Little fridge which was a plus. Comfortable and cozy stay, with easy access from the train station and right on the harbour.
Disliked: Noise carries easily through the walls from the other rooms.
Quirky, but great location
Liked: So quirky and fun! 9 flights of stairs. Location could not be better!!! No big suit cases.

Liked: We chose Albergo Barbara for our first time visiting Vernazza and Cinque Terre primarily based on it's convenient location to the main area of that village. The property was noticeably clean and well maintained on a daily basis for our 2-night stay. The staff was incredibly helpful and went above/beyond to ensure our stay was as comfortable as possible, including carrying my wife's carry-on luggage from the ground floor to our room and taking the time to point out their favorite local restaurants, gelateria, and other areas worth seeing.
Disliked: It's a minor inconvenience and probably not worth mentioning, but the lack of an elevator is probably my only gripe, mainly because my wife's ankles were pummeled from the excessive walking in Rome/Florence prior to our stay here. It would have been a luxury to avoid enduring another set of endless stairs, complete with a tight spiral staircase as the final leg of the journey up top.
Liked: Nice staff, superb location, good room size

Alberto Barbara is the perfect location at the small harbor. Rooms with ocean views. Alonzo was an amazing help for all

Perfect stay!
Liked: Great location right by the water front and restaurants. Our room had a great view of the ocean and beach also. We had one of the double rooms with shared bathroom, we only had to share the bathroom with one other room and had no issues, the bathroom was kept very clean and tidy. The staff were lovely and gave us so many great recommendations for activities and food! Thank you!
Disliked: Lots of stairs to walk up as the property is on the top 2 stories of the building but well worth it for the view and the staff offered to help us carry our bags up:)
